I think most people understand the effects of the sun on the skin and most of the damage is made in the early years. Using sun screen is very important to prevent long term damage and skin cancers. This new range from No7 Early Defence Skincare range offers the age group 25-30 years a chance to help maintain and keep the skin looking younger and in good condition, whilst helping to protect against UVA and environmental damage.
Dr Mike Bell, Skincare Scientific Advisor for Boots UK, says “Protecting your skin for the sun and environmental stress is really important, particularly if you want to proactively delay the signs of ageing. With Double Defence technology we have created a powerful and broad-spectrum antioxidant complex which had been designed to neutralise damaging free radicals that cause the skin oxidative stress, helping you to keep your skin looking younger for longer.”
The patent of Double Defence includes ingredients of Ginseng, Mulberry Vitamin C, Lipochroman, Vitamin C, Rice peptides and Alfalfa which all help towards protecting and repair along with N0 7’s unbeatable 5* UVA technology offering the skin advanced daily protection from the sun and environmental stress to help it look younger for longer.
The NEW line up consists of No7 Early Defence Day Cream £19.50, No7 Early Defence Night Cream £19.50, No7 Early Defence Eye Cream £13.50.
From the trials made over a two week period more than 90% of women found it super light and gentle on the skin, 85% felt they were looking after their skin longterm and 80% said their skins were more radiant after this time. Time for you to try for yourself.

This is certainly a favourite sun care range for me Piz Buin with it’s distinctive smell of summer. Instant Glow has an illuminating finish due to light reflecting pearls leaving a very flattering effect when sprayed onto the body. I have used this on my face and I have to say it’s great having sun care with an illuminating finish with an added SPF30. It’s very important to use sun care all year round to reduce any long term skin damage, preventing premature ageing and any other serious skin problems. It’s not until later in your life that you see the damage done from your early years in the sun. Here’s some great advice from Dr Jennifer Jones, Consultant Dermatologist.
“ It’s important to make sure you use sun protection from
the very first day of Spring to keep skin protected from
the sun’s rays. Having been covered by clothing over
the winter months, skin is especially sensitive to UV rays
on first exposure so whether you’re at home or abroad
it’s important to use proper protection every day.”

A quick update about the fabulous fashion duo Alicia and Kay. They invited me to visit one of their morning workshops at the Pestana Chelsea Bridge Hotel & Spa and found the experience very helpful with lots of hands on friendly advice. These workshops help to reinforce, add and back up all the useful content online that clients individually subscribe too. I met some great women who’d really benefited from their service and couldnt wait to come back for another hands on future workshop.
Here’s the original post from the initial launch in February 2015.
Everyone suffers fashion disasters over the years. It just gets complicated knowing what works for you at different phases of your life when there’s so much available in the shops and online. A Government campaign Love your clothes have stated that there are an estimated £30 billion worth of clothing sitting in the backs of our wardrobes for over a year. That’s just incredible to think that many people buy clothing in the wrong size, shape, style, and colour to add to already unworn clothing in their wardrobes. I find it completely shocking that we would want to waste our money and time in this way.
Recently I visited the Hoxton Hotel in Holborn to meet Alicia and Kay the founders of aliciakaystyle.com who are absolutely passionate about utilizing clothing you currently own by finding key items within your budget to add to your wardrobe. The idea is to create a capsule collection for spring/summer and autumn/winter so eliminating any future dilemmas of what works for you in wearable clothing, footwear and accessories. It’s teaching simple styling techniques that really work for you personally and it totally makes sense and brings women together.

“A Stylish Woman Makes Fashion Her Own.” says Alicia and Kay and I tend to agree. Fashion style is completely personal and wearing clothes you feel comfortable and confidant wearing is everything no matter where it’s from or what budget you spend.
