The Glamour of Ardell lashes celebrating 45 years at the Langham Hotel London.

Through my work i’ve used many different types and makes of Lashes.  From high glam, advertizing, portraits and drag artists. Seems they never go out of fashion. Just think back in relation to Hollywood films with leading ladies like Clara Bow in the 20’s and Gene Harlow in the 30’s ( one of the first blonds in movies) they wore false lashes to accentuate their eyes on film to lure and engage the viewer.  Ardell invited me to celebrate 45 years at the Langham Hotel in central London with a glamorous event to show off the new Press On Lashes and natural styles. The company Little Back Dress had bit of a bash recently at the Cafe Royal in one of the most beautiful rooms i have seen for a long time. It’s worth a visit with your friends if you get a chance to visit town before Christmas.   It was full of press, bloggers, pop stars and soap stars.  Typical of me to sit in the reserved spot and was quite quickly removed by a PR with a smile,  ( I know my place :)).

Amazingly it was the 9th year for the Avon Beauty Bus and it was parked up opposite the John Snow Pub in Broadwick Street Soho. Named after Dr John Snow who discovered the water pump in this street was the cause of the Cholera epidemic 1854.

Real hands on fashion advice from Alicia/Kay helps to engage and develop your own fashion style.

A quick update about the fabulous fashion duo Alicia and Kay. They invited me to visit one of their morning workshops at the Pestana Chelsea Bridge Hotel & Spa  and found the experience very helpful with lots of hands on friendly advice. These workshops help to reinforce, add and back up all the useful content online that clients individually subscribe too. I met some great women who’d really benefited from their service and couldnt wait to come back for another hands on future workshop.

Everyone suffers fashion disasters over the years.  It just gets complicated knowing what works for you at different phases of your life when there’s so much available in the shops and online.  A Government campaign   Love your clothes  have stated that there are an estimated £30 billion worth of clothing sitting in the backs of our wardrobes for over a year.  That’s just incredible to think that many people buy clothing in the wrong size, shape, style, and colour to add to already unworn clothing in their wardrobes. I find it completely shocking that we would want to waste our money and time in this way.
